The upcoming 2012 Infiniti M35h hybrid sedan will be the first vehicle featuring Nissan’s own proprietary gasoline-electric hybrid system. If you don’t recall, Nissan has sold a hybrid vehicle before, in the form of the Altima Hybrid, but this model relied on technology borrowed from Toyota.

Ask Infiniti why they bothered to build a third generation QX at all, and they'll politely tell you that the average buyer is one of the youngest and most affluent luxury vehicle consumers out there. The average guy or gal with a QX56 fob in their pocket is 45 years old – a full seven years younger than the national average for all luxury owners – and the luxury arm from Nissan says that its SUV is a sort of brand gateway drug that will have buyers returning to showrooms for years to come.

Autocar reports that Infiniti will steal “sizeable” amount of styling cues for the next generation Infiniti G37 Coupe from one of its own concept cars, the Infiniti Essence concept, that was revealed during the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
